Early

It's just about 7 a.m. and I've been up now since 5 a.m. The only time I ever get up this early, sad to say, is for an exam... who knows if that extra study time helps! But I'm realizing that it's actually kind of nice to be up this early. It's quiet, things can get done before class/work, and it just feels good. Maybe I'll do it more often!

As for today's events:
  • I have a Cell and Molec exam that I don't really think anyone is ready for. Quick note: when a teacher says that you don't need to read the book, read it anyway... all of our exam questions are from the book and the lecture wouldn't have helped answer them.
  • My maid of honor, Alycia, is coming up today to visit. We will be shopping for the girl's gifts and I'll be showing her around the Oshkosh/Appleton area. I'm really looking forward to it since we haven't really been able to hang out very much this year at all.
  • Alycia and I will be going to a meeting with the florist this afternoon to pick out flowers for the wedding. I'm both excited and dreading this visit because I don't know much about flowers... picking them out for something like this but I'm excited to be going through the process. Unfortunately, my mom is unable to join us so I think I'll schedule another meeting just so she can see what was picked out and recommend changes if necessary.
  • Tonight, Jim and I were invited to Mike Huck's birthday party at the Texas Road House. It should be a fun time! I'm also looking forward to just hanging out with Jim away from campus. It's been a busy week and it will be nice to have some fun! :)
Other wedding news:
It's comming... it's comming!!!! June 16 isn't far away and we're getting more and more excited with each passing day!!! Tomorrow Residence Life is throwing us a wedding shower! I'm really excited (I think Jim is even more excited) because the theme is pirates! I know, odd, but Jim and I are into pirates--him more than I--but our ResLife friends and our families will be there... it will be a blast! And Jacque's got cats! Two of them! And they're still pretty kittenish so they'll be extra cute!!! It will be a good day!

Until next time...
