The Drive Of People

So I have since descovered that the drive for power, fame, and definately wealth has outweighed the ability for most people to actually work to help others, which, in our society, is the whole point of work. Our school gives us a meal plan, which many believe is not enough food for too much money. For instance, one meal costs approximately $8.75. Using one meal out of the plan purchaced can get you a small soda (less than a 20 oz.) and an under-cooked personal pizza. Normally, these things can cost you just above $4 at any neighborhood Pizza Hut and they have no problem handing out appropriate wages to their employees... so why are our meals so expensive? Recently, I used a meal to get one of the aforementioned pizza dinners, and it was doughy and hardly cooked at all. I ended up biting into it and then throwing it away. That was my dinner. And it's the only option after 7pm. So I dare ask, what is wrong with this picture? Is there anything we can do about paying way too much for too little, too under-cooked food? Many students would really like to know... I'm one of them!
